Deal 6 - Tekken Tag Tournament Arcade Stick

This one is from a long time ago, but worth posting about.

Item: Tekken Tag Tournament Arcade stick
Cost: 400 yen (appx $3.50 at the time)
Place: Book-off in Kuzuha, near Hirakata-shi in Osaka
When: Late 2006

I got a TTT joystick in perfect condition for only 400 yen. I used that stick for a long time and it always worked well for me. When I went to buy it, the girl behind the counter even asked the manager if that was the right price. The manager was like "yeah i guess" and i got it for 400 yen. :D

Deal 5 - Various 10 Yen Manga

So as you may know, I sometimes read manga. I used to read this one series back in the day in the US called Boys Be. It's a buncha short love stories, sometimes ends well, sometimes doesn't. Anyways, it has easy enough Japanese that I can pretty much get what's going on. But to be able to get a few books to keep myself entertained for only 10 yen each is pretty great.

So:
Item - Various Manga including Boys Be 2nd Season and Angelic Layer
Cost - 10 yen (appr 10 cents)
Where - A-Too Manga/CD store 2F
When - Since the store opened

Deal 4 - Super Famicon Chrono Trigger

Hey guys, been a while since I updated, but here we go:
Item - Super Famicon Chrono Trigger
Cost - 100 yen (appr 1 dollar)
Where - Sofmap Giga Store in Denden Town - 7th floor
When - October, 2008

The game obviously doesn't come in a box, and is most likely used, but for 100 yen for a working copy of Chrono Trigger, one of the most popular Super Famicon games, that ain't too shabby.

Deal 3 - DDR Dreamcast Dance Pad

Been a while, but here's the next one:

Item - DDR Dreamcast Dance Pad
Cost - 100 yen (appr 1 dollar)
Where - Super Potato in Denden Town
When - October 11th 2008

Yeah, it's the standard one, but for 1 dollar, getting a dreamcast dance pad is a great deal. Heck, the game costs 10 times the price of that. Even tho it's retro, it's still hard finding even a cheap dance pad for less than 10 bucks, much less for less than 2 bucks.

Deal 2 - KOF XI Guide

Hello, back again. Here's the next deal.

Item - King Of Fighters XI Conqueror's Guide
Cost - 10 yen (appr 10 cents)
Where - A-too in Denden Town
When - October 11th 2008

So you may be wondering what the conqueror's guide looks like. Here's a link to the amazon.co.jp page for it: http://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/switch-language/product/4757725612/ref=dp_change_lang?ie=UTF8&language=en%5FJP

Its a complete guide for the game. It has all the moves that can cancel into a super listed, the normals that cancel into specials/each other, the supers that cancel into leader super, all the dialogues of all the characters, and pictures of every move, position etc. It's an awesome very in-depth guide.

How did I find it that cheap? In A-too, a video game store, they had a box of guide's that were all 10 yen. The KOFXI guide was in there. The reason it was in there was because it was very used. You know how if you keep using a game guide or keep looking at a magazine over and over that it becomes beat up? It was kinda like that. However, all the pages were still there, and it still serves it's purpose as a guide.

New Blog, with first post!

Hey all, I decided to start a new blog under the same account.

So as you all know, I often go to Den den town (abbr. DDT). There, (and in other places in Japan, too I guess), you can sometimes find amazing deals on stuff, and I seem to find a lot of these deals. Every once in a while, I'll update this with deals I found related to either games/figures/cds, or just Japanese SOMETHING in general. I'll start off with my first one:
http://img389.imageshack.us/my.php?image=xedgebu4.jpg

Item - X Edge Posters - 5 total
Cost - $0.00
Where - Super Potato in DDT
When - October 18th, 2008
More information - I found these in a box in super potato. I went looking in there just because I was going through all the stores in DDT, and I found a box that said "Cross Edge Posters, take one freely" in japanese, and they had "Take Free" written in English. I grabbed one, they were all rolled up into one little roll, and they had a good 25 or so rolls left when I got mine.

Overall they're really cool, the game idea is great, the game itself doesn't look so hot IMO (at least not for a ps3 game, and not with what they could have done), but these promotional posters are awesome, and as you can see in the picture, with all 5 of them next to eachother, they fit PERFECTLY on that wall with like, less than half a cm of space on each end. That, and there's a giant penguin featured on one of them. Can't go wrong with a giant penguin, srsly.

If you like this, leave comments or something. I have a ton of things I bought or a friend of mine bought that was amazing, so this could definitely last a while.
