How does my money get spent?

This week, I wondered how much I really spent doing whatever. I tallied it up, here we go:

I started off with 48000 yen. I don't keep track of how much I spent at arcades, so subtracting how much I have left, and every other expense will give me how much I spent at arcades for the weekend. Keep in mind, this is a 2 nighter, and I usually do one night only. And keep in mind, I spent most of my day playing at arcades.

Train to Umeda-Osaka from Ono- 1070 yen
Cheese Roasted Chicken + tuna sub at Subway- 510 yen
(play at monte carlo from about 6:00PM to 11:30PM)
Train to Namba - 230 yen
Fried Chicken from a convenience store - 360 yen
Manga cafe for 8 hours- 1200 yen
(play strip majhong and daifugo arcade games for about a half hour)
Mr Donuts 3 donuts - 300 yen
(Play arcana from about 9:15 till 11:15)
Majhong DS game - 1300 yen
Morning Musume wall of cuteness pics - 350 yen
Train to Umeda - 230 yen
Subway Cheese Roasted Chicken + tuna sub at Subway (they didnt charge me for the Tuna) - 450 yen
(Play at Monte from about 1:15 till 4PM)
(walk to Ababa, play a few games there)
Tourney entry fee - 100 yen
Train from Ababa to Namba - 230 yen
(Play at Athena from about 7PM to 9PM)
Beef bowl at Matsuya - 380 yen
(Play at Athena from about 9:20PM to 10:15PM)
Drink from Vending Machine - 150 yen
Capsule Hotel - 2800 yen
DVDs - 500 yen
Donuts from Mr Donuts - 482 yen
(Play Arcana arcade mode for a while)
Back Alley Morning Musume store wall of cuteness pics - 300 yen
(Play at Athena for a while)
Train to Umeda - 230 yen
(Play at Monte Carlo from about 2PM till about 8:30PM)
Subway footlong Cheese Roasted Chicken + tuna - 930 yen
Train back to Ono from Umeda - 1070 yen.

So when we take all those expenses, subtracted from 48000 yen, we get: 34828

I had about 30500 yen left after I got back from the Den. This means I spent about 4300 yen at arcades for the entire 3 day duration. Keep in mind how long I was playing. Adding it up, I was at arcades for roughly 24 hours or so for the weekend. Not too bad. I think it's mainly cause of BB winstreaks, lol. I spent almost as much staying at the manga cafe and capsule hotel as I did for the entire weekend of arcades.

Deal 7 - Used Anime DVD's

Item: Used Anime DVD's (Angelic Layer, Ai Yori Aoshi, Memories Off, Comic Party etc)
Cost: 100 or 200 yen
Place: Tsutaya in Dotonburi, Osaka
When: 1/26/09

They had a buncha used anime DVDs there, normally like, 1000 yen or so, but they had a clearance bin with a buncha 100 yen or 200 yen anime. Keep in mind anime in this country is about 3x as expensive per dvd as it is back home. I'm talking anywhere from 4-7000 yen per DVD. So yeah, even tho it's used and old, it's still a good buy.

Granted, they didn't have full sets, it still gives me something to watch in the background as I hang out on the computer. I just finished EP 1 of Angelic Layer while hanging up laundry and typing up this post. I don't watch much anime anymore, but dvd's for background effects are great.

Deal 6 - Tekken Tag Tournament Arcade Stick

This one is from a long time ago, but worth posting about.

Item: Tekken Tag Tournament Arcade stick
Cost: 400 yen (appx $3.50 at the time)
Place: Book-off in Kuzuha, near Hirakata-shi in Osaka
When: Late 2006

I got a TTT joystick in perfect condition for only 400 yen. I used that stick for a long time and it always worked well for me. When I went to buy it, the girl behind the counter even asked the manager if that was the right price. The manager was like "yeah i guess" and i got it for 400 yen. :D

Deal 5 - Various 10 Yen Manga

So as you may know, I sometimes read manga. I used to read this one series back in the day in the US called Boys Be. It's a buncha short love stories, sometimes ends well, sometimes doesn't. Anyways, it has easy enough Japanese that I can pretty much get what's going on. But to be able to get a few books to keep myself entertained for only 10 yen each is pretty great.

So:
Item - Various Manga including Boys Be 2nd Season and Angelic Layer
Cost - 10 yen (appr 10 cents)
Where - A-Too Manga/CD store 2F
When - Since the store opened

Deal 4 - Super Famicon Chrono Trigger

Hey guys, been a while since I updated, but here we go:
Item - Super Famicon Chrono Trigger
Cost - 100 yen (appr 1 dollar)
Where - Sofmap Giga Store in Denden Town - 7th floor
When - October, 2008

The game obviously doesn't come in a box, and is most likely used, but for 100 yen for a working copy of Chrono Trigger, one of the most popular Super Famicon games, that ain't too shabby.

Deal 3 - DDR Dreamcast Dance Pad

Been a while, but here's the next one:

Item - DDR Dreamcast Dance Pad
Cost - 100 yen (appr 1 dollar)
Where - Super Potato in Denden Town
When - October 11th 2008

Yeah, it's the standard one, but for 1 dollar, getting a dreamcast dance pad is a great deal. Heck, the game costs 10 times the price of that. Even tho it's retro, it's still hard finding even a cheap dance pad for less than 10 bucks, much less for less than 2 bucks.

Deal 2 - KOF XI Guide

Hello, back again. Here's the next deal.

Item - King Of Fighters XI Conqueror's Guide
Cost - 10 yen (appr 10 cents)
Where - A-too in Denden Town
When - October 11th 2008

So you may be wondering what the conqueror's guide looks like. Here's a link to the amazon.co.jp page for it: http://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/switch-language/product/4757725612/ref=dp_change_lang?ie=UTF8&language=en%5FJP

Its a complete guide for the game. It has all the moves that can cancel into a super listed, the normals that cancel into specials/each other, the supers that cancel into leader super, all the dialogues of all the characters, and pictures of every move, position etc. It's an awesome very in-depth guide.

How did I find it that cheap? In A-too, a video game store, they had a box of guide's that were all 10 yen. The KOFXI guide was in there. The reason it was in there was because it was very used. You know how if you keep using a game guide or keep looking at a magazine over and over that it becomes beat up? It was kinda like that. However, all the pages were still there, and it still serves it's purpose as a guide.
